About
An engineering house built where two worlds overlap.
Headquartered in Dubai and delivering across the Gulf and Europe, Alwan Technology brings the rigour of Europe's most digitised public sectors to the ambition of the region's fastest-moving economies.
The name
Alwan (ألوان) means “colours”.
Our mark is two translucent colours meeting. Where they overlap, a third, deeper colour appears, one that neither could make alone.
It is a literal description of how we work. Software engineering overlaps with domain knowledge: the regulation, the operations, the politics of a system. Gulf ambition overlaps with European public-sector rigour. Hardware overlaps with AI. In each case the interesting work, and the reliable result, sits in the overlap.
We are a consulting house, not a body shop. We take responsibility for outcomes, we staff engagements with senior people, and we measure ourselves on whether the system holds in production: for the citizen at the kiosk, the operator in the control room, the customer at checkout.
Leadership
The people accountable for the firm.

Mohamad Jassim
Managing Director
Mohamad Jassim leads Alwan Technology as Managing Director, with responsibility for strategy, client relationships and delivery across the Gulf and Europe.

Zakaria Taleb
Chief Technology Officer
Zakaria Taleb is Chief Technology Officer of Alwan Technology, responsible for the firm's technical direction, its engineering standards and the architecture of its products and client systems. Zakaria holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the École nationale Supérieure d'Informatique (ESI) and has built systems at both ends of the stack: machine-learning and data-science platforms at one end, low-level and embedded software at the other. That range is visible in the firm's work on AI pipelines running on constrained hardware, in the ITS platform, and in the complex integration programmes Alwan delivers for public authorities and financial institutions. As CTO, Zakaria leads the engineering teams across Dubai and Europe and is accountable for the security and quality of every system the firm ships.

Abdou Yelles
Head of Cyber Security
Abdou Yelles leads cyber security at Alwan Technology and is responsible for the security of every system the firm builds and operates, from architecture review and threat modelling through DevSecOps pipelines to penetration testing and incident response. Abdou holds a Master's degree in Computer Science, and the background is offensive as much as defensive: years of penetration testing and vulnerability research, participation in international hacking competitions, and rewards from the bug-bounty programmes of Apple and Google for responsibly disclosed vulnerabilities. Knowing how systems are actually broken into shapes how Alwan designs them: security controls are engineered into the build pipeline and verified by attack, not assumed from a checklist. Abdou also owns the firm's ISO/IEC 27001 information security management system and supports clients with their NIS2 and DORA obligations.
How we engage
Three ways to work with us.
Delivery teams
A complete, senior team that owns an outcome end to end, from architecture and build to integration and go-live, inside your governance.
Advisory & architecture
Target architecture, sourcing strategy and programme leadership from people who have shipped the systems they are advising on.
Managed operations
We stay with what we build: SRE, security operations and continuous improvement under clear service levels.
Principles
What we hold ourselves to.
Domain before code
We learn the regulation, the operations and the politics of a system before we open an editor. Most failures in critical systems are misunderstandings, not bugs.
Secure by design
Security and privacy are architecture decisions made on day one: identity, cryptography, segmentation, auditability. Not a phase before launch.
Built to be owned
We hand over systems your teams can run: documented, observable, and free of lock-in to us or to any vendor.
Here after go-live
Delivery is the start of the relationship. The engineers who built a system stay close to it while it earns trust in production.
Assurance
Certifications.
Our management systems for information security and business continuity are certified against international standards and audited by an independent accredited body. Certificates are available to clients on request.
Certified
ISO/IEC 27001
Information Security Management
Certified ISMS covering our consulting, engineering and managed-operations services.
Certified
ISO 22301
Business Continuity Management
Certified BCMS. The systems we run, and the teams behind them, are engineered to continue through disruption.

Have a system that cannot fail?
Tell us what it has to do, who depends on it, and what would happen if it stopped. We will tell you honestly how we would build it.
